Tips & Tricks for Perfect DTF Transfers
1. Always Pre-Press
Moisture in garments can prevent the adhesive from bonding properly. A quick 3–5 second pre-press helps ensure a clean, even press.
2. Use Even Pressure
DTF transfers require firm, even pressure (around 60 PSI). Too little pressure can cause poor adhesion, while too much pressure can flatten the design.
3. Peel Hot
HandmadeOhio transfers are hot peel, meaning you should remove the film immediately after pressing for best results.
4. Do a Final Press
A quick 3–5 second repress with parchment paper helps lock the print into the fabric and improves durability.
5. Avoid Stretching When Hot
Allow the garment to cool briefly before stretching or folding to help the adhesive fully set.
